Checking Your Blood Glucose

Blood glucose (blood sugar) monitoring is the main tool you have to check your diabetes control. This check tells you your blood glucose level at any one time.

How Do I Check Blood Sugar using Exactive Vital?

  1. After washing your hands and wipe with dry  clean clothing
  2. Insert a test strip into your meter.
  3. On the side of your fingertip prick yourself using a lancets Mounted on Lancing device
  4. Squeeze the prick to avail blood around 0.6ul
  5. Make the tip of the test strip be contact with blood on the finger tip (the machine will suck sample by itself and it should beep)
  6. Wait for 5 seconds , as the meter will show count down
  7. Your blood glucose level will appear on the meter’s display.
